Devonshire Trail Ride—April 19, 2010 The ministry for the month of April was “Lee County Cooperative Ministry” This group is organized, funded and staffed by members of local churches. Spiritual guidance as well as furniture, clothing and food items are distributed to all who inquire. Many canned food items were brought to the Devonshire trail ride to be donated to this worthy cause. I’m sure God will bless and multiply these gifts. It was a hot afternoon as people arrived at Devonshire on Saturday, April 19, 2010 for the April trail ride. I’m sure several wondered how hot it was going to get before we finished our ride but we tacked our horses anyway and rode out together. Surprisingly it got a little cooler and a little cooler and turned out to be a rather nice afternoon on God’s trails. When we returned everyone took care of their horses and settled them in because it was time for us to eat. A little breeze came up but it was still too hot to cook our hotdogs over an open fire but we had two fine cooks in Wendell and Robert as they grilled our hotdogs for us and everyone enjoyed the fellowship and food. Thanks to everyone that provide “good eats” The evening ended with everyone going back to their horse trailers full, smiling, laughing and just enjoying the world, people and the gifts God has given us. God is good. “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. James 1:17 |
